Hi everyone!

Just thought I'd send you fantastic Backers a creep-tastic update.

Almost all of the Backer Kit surveys are in.  About 90% of the survey have been completed and If you  need to fill out your survey you still have time.  Check your spam folder incase it got buried in the dark depths of your email.  If you haven't received your survey let me know and I'd be happy to assist in getting your rewards right.  Pre-orders are going smoothly and continue to increase and interest for the Cameo Creeps keeps surpassing my wildest expectations.

I've started molding and casting the Limited Editions for the Mansion Ghost of Lady Miriam Lillithad.  Each one is being handmade and crafted by me.

Gen Con!
over 7 years ago – Mon, Aug 08, 2016 at 01:40:57 PM

Hi everyone,

Sorry for not posting an update last week.  I was busy getting ready for the Cameo Creeps first big premiere at Gen Con in Indianapolis, IN.  Gen Con is a great show for gaming (my moldy bread and butter) and if you ever get the opportunity to attend I highly recommend it.  So much to do and see and of course amazing artists from around the world.

I had a great time and brought a couple of prototypes to the show so attendees could see them in person.  And thanks to those who stopped by the booth who backed the project.  Your continued support has been incredible and means so much to me as I move forward with the project.

I got word that production began last week on the frames.  I'm so excited I could ooze blood out my eyeballs! Yes!

Have a great week and hope it's spooky-fresh!

My best,
Chris

Just a quick update!

I made my first big purchase order for the first round of custom frames from my manufacturer Curbell Plastics!  They are very excited to be working with me on this project and have done an amazing job so far.  Also started to move on the packaging.  CardPak was really impressed with my design and they work with corporations from Johnson & Johnson to Nabisco.  Huge!  Prototyping hasn't begun yet but will as soon as they finalize my quote.  Anyhow, Things are moving forward.  There are a lot of moving parts to get the Creeps reproductions in your hand no later than April and am working hard to make that happen in a timely fashion.

All supplies have been order and received to start working on the Limited Edition Variants (Ghost & Hell Fire) and the "Original" frames.  I wanted to share with you the process.

I'll have both Limited Edition Variant prototypes with me at Gen Con Indy next week (Aug 4-7) along with a handful or regular Creeps from each set.  It's going to be a great show so if you are attending swing by my booth (Artist Alley #35 )and pick up some free Cameo Creeps swag and say "Hello".

Until the next update!

Keep it spooky,

Fill the Coffers with Gold
almost 8 years ago – Fri, Jul 01, 2016 at 07:29:41 PM

Just got word that the funds from the campaign are being transferred to my account so I can start organizing my Purchase Orders for the project! Woot!  Once again, and by now I'm sure it's getting old like an oak tree, Thank You!

I'm also finishing up my project surveys through BackerKit.  I should have them out to you soon.  Through the survey you'll be able to choose your Creeps using multiple choice questions and also add-on to your pledge at a discounted rate if you missed that one Creep that you just have to have for your collection.  You also have the option to double or triple up (if you pick the Unearth Three or larger). Cameo Creeps make great gifts for that spooky someone.

Also wanted to share with you a spot illustration I'm working on for the Cameo Creeps Compendium Vol 1 digital download that every backer gets.  Each Creep will have his or her own unique back ground story along with a B/W etching spot illo.  Having a blast pulling from the etching style from the middle-ages.  If we are lucky enough to get enough add-ons and pre-orders I would love to take this to print.  But I'll keep you posted.

Thanks again for your support and have a great weekend and those in the states, Happy Independence Day!

On the Path & Out of the Tomb

Since the project has been successfully funded for a couple of days I wanted to let you know we are on the path and out of the tomb!

On the path and out of the Tomb!
On the path and out of the Tomb!

I finalized my LLC last week!  Yay!  The funds from the campaign won't hit my account for a couple weeks yet. Once that happens I'll be able to start placing orders.  First on the order list is the frames.  The biggest and costliest part of the Cameo Creeps.  From there I'll also begin to finalize my trademark and copyrights.  This is exciting stuff to form a  business around my own Intellectual Property.

I also have started to organize my Backer Kit page.  You'll be able to add-on extra Creeps for your collection or buy them as gifts for someone ghoulishly special in your your undead life.  As a backer you will get a discount on adding new Creeps, remaining Variants and a handful of other rewards to your pledge.  It's going to take a little time to organize but hope to have it ready for you by the time Kickstarter drops my funds.  I'll send you an update when the BK page is live.

Thanks again everyone for your support!
